With 10+ years experience mentoring, caring for and teaching children. My future as an educator and advocate for individual thinkers finally flourished once I found a school that valued teaching to the individual child, not the whole class (ACE Academy). Trained to lose my ego as a teacher and embrace multi-age environments, I learned to act as a guide, allowing individuals to take lessons as deep as they need. I have a gift for identifying learning styles, interests and academic strengths while building a strong trust with children. By providing a trust-centered, child-centered learning environment, children discover, embrace and grow into their strengths.
Tuning into my instincts and experiences allow me to create personalized enrichments that feed each thinker’s interests, abilities and needs. Every themed and project-based enrichment instills zest, optimism, curiosity, and social/emotional intelligence while striving to reach appropriate academic goals for the thinker, family, and/or small group. Each child takes ownership in his/her education thru challenging and engaging curricula that gives the individual the opportunity to showcase themselves, their uniqueness and serve their community.
I believe that it takes commitment, responsibility, mindfulness, and grit to be an empowered thinker. By exploring these characteristics we can help build an individual's love for life and a life of learning.
